FireDjinn

Mail merge for designs that aren't Word documents. Pick a postcard picture or a PDF letter, pick your address list, drag the address where it goes, and print.

The file isn't code-signed yet. The first time you open it, Windows may say "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway.

Version 1.5.1, beta. Windows 10 (1809 or later) or Windows 11, 64-bit. One file, about 78 MB. No install and no admin rights needed.

What it does

  • Postcards and letters. Use a PNG, JPG, or PDF design. FireDjinn lays one address onto each copy.
  • Avery labels. Six US Letter sheets built in. Start partway down a used sheet, and print a line-up page on plain paper first.
  • Any address list. Open an Excel or CSV file, or keep your lists in FireDjinn's own address book. Import and export to Excel at any time.
  • Print or save. Send to any Windows printer, with tray and two-sided settings, or save one PDF for the whole run, or one file per address.
  • Test first. "Print a test" sends the address on screen before you commit to 500 cards.
  • Private. It works fully offline. Your addresses never leave your PC.

Avery labels: a full sheet laid out, plus a line-up sheet to print on plain paper first.
The address book keeps your lists in the app. Import from Excel or CSV, and export back out.

Every name and address shown is made up.

Before you start

It is in beta. Printing has been tested to PDF but not yet on every physical printer or label sheet, so do a test print before a big run. If something lands in the wrong place, report it on GitHub with the version number from the title bar.
