HelpfulDjinn
A helpdesk and purchasing system for a small IT team. Tickets, machines, orders, and how-to documents in one place, with an AI assistant that runs on your own server.
Available by consultation only. Every install is set up for the company using it, so there is no download. It runs as a web app on Windows or Linux, with a small Windows desktop app for staff.
What it does
- Tickets by email. Messages to your helpdesk mailbox become tickets, with replies, private notes, attachments, checklists, and a Kanban board.
- A portal for staff. People sign in with a one-time code, see their own tickets and equipment, and approve purchases.
- Every machine on record. Check equipment in and out, keep a full history of changes, and get an overnight health check for each PC.
- Purchasing. Plan items by department, build purchase orders, email them as PDFs, and turn received items into assets.
- An AI assistant that stays home. It finds similar past tickets, suggests replies, and summarizes fixes, using a local model. Nothing is sent to an outside AI service.
- A desktop app for staff. Staff file tickets from their PC, and it reports the machine's health automatically.
Built around your setup
No two IT shops run the same way, so HelpfulDjinn isn't sold as a box. It is configured for your environment and the way your team already works.
- Your mail and your directory. Ticket intake from your Microsoft 365 mailbox, and portal sign-in with your Active Directory passwords if you want it.
- Your people and permissions. Roles control what each technician can see and change, module by module.
- Your processes. Checklists for onboarding, offboarding and anything else you repeat, recurring tickets on a schedule, and manager approval for purchases.
- Your paperwork. Departments, cost codes, vendors, shipping locations with their own tax rates, and email templates in your own words.
- Your hardware. It runs on a server you control, Windows or Linux, and the AI assistant uses a model on your own network.
- Your extras. Something your team needs that isn't here yet can often be built in.

How a consultation works
- A conversation. We talk through how your team handles requests, equipment and purchasing today, and what gets in the way.
- A fit check. I show you HelpfulDjinn running on demo data and say plainly what would work for you as it is, what would need configuring, and what would need building.
- Setup. If it's a fit, HelpfulDjinn is installed on your server and configured for your mail, people and processes.
Send me a message with how many people you support and what you use for tickets now. The first conversation is a fit check. Setup is priced after that, because every install is different.
